This summer, one of my goals was to get Brayden to the point where he wouldn't fear the water. Too many times, I would try to get him to come off of the pool steps, only to have him clutch me in his kung-fu grip, and make me flash a pool full of strangers. Finally, I came across the Body Glove float suit. Thinking to myself that this would be as easy as putting it on him, and then having him get in the pool. I thought he would figure out that he could float, this would not be the case. He still insisted on clutching on for dear life. I have to admit that the only way to get him to understand that he could float was to just toss him in the water. So, that is what I did. After going under for a split second, then popping to the surface, a slightly terrified yet thrilled little boy said "do it again mom!" So I did. And from then on, he has been fearless in the water. Almost too fearless......
